- You might be thinking of walking in King Arthur's footsteps at Tintagel, but not many people realise there's an even older mystery hidden just a few miles north on the road to Boscastle. Look out for a quiet gorge at Bossiney that will take you on an enchanted walk to find prehistoric labyrinth rock carvings.
- The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are popular, inspirational destinations for nature lovers. But if it's peace and tranquillity you like in a garden, then head further from the madding crowd. At Trebah, near Falmouth you'll find 25 acres of sub-tropical paradise. Or at Trelissick Garden, near Truro, there are great views out to Falmouth Harbour.
- The Jamaica Inn is Bodmin Moor's most famously haunted pit stop - immortalised by Daphne Du Maurier's novel of the same name. But there's an even weirder treat just next door. In Potter's Museum of Curiosity you'll find the strange collection of Victorian taxidermist and naturalist Walter Potter.
- The Falmouth National Maritime Museum boasts exhibits covering everything from the county's fishing heritage to surfing in the Atlantic breakers. And for wine lovers, a trip to Camel Valley is a must. For over twenty years, wine has been produced from the grapes grown next to the Camel River.
