Holiday cottages in the Cotswolds

  • The Cotswolds has earned its place as an officially recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, by offering beautiful, historic architecture in some of the country's most gloriously unspoiled surroundings - not to mention a selection of excellent holiday cottages!

  • But the Cotswolds offers more than just good looks; it has also given home to some of the most significant political and cultural figures in UK history, with the UK's most beloved prime minister, playwright and boy wizard all choosing to live there over the years!

Drink, eat and be merry in The Cotswolds.

    • The Cotswolds originates from 'gentle hills', which will come as some relief to those who want to sample the area's culinary heritage. With famous produce including award-winning jam from Stroud, Old Spot Pork from Gloucester, prized plums from Blaisdon and over 100 different types of cheeses - we're sure you'll find something to get your taste buds tingling You may even choose to bring some back to your holiday cottage to cook yourself!
    • For those who prefer a more active experience, visitors to the Cotswolds can walk off their lunch in the region's many limestone villages, almost untouched since they formed the hub of the wool trade, centuries ago.
    • Or if wooly animals aren't your cup of tea, you could always pay a visit to Charlecote Park estate - holiday cottage to the Lucy family and the alleged site of a failed poaching attempt by Shakespeare - where you can see deer running wild through the grounds. Alternatively, you may choose to watch animals run for a different reason, by having a flutter at Cheltenham Races. You might even get rich in the process!
    • If you're more of a culture vulture and history buff, you could always visit Blenheim Palace, a spectacular baroque palace where Winston Churchill once spent his days strolling through the 2100 acres of gardens and grounds. Alternatively, those who prefer fictional heroes might want to walk the corridors of Gloucester Cathedral, which doubled as Hogwarts School in the Harry Potter films.
