Destinations / England / Isle of Wight
- Situated only three miles from the south coast of England, the Isle of Wight is poles apart from most tourist destinations in terms of diversity. With over half of its 380 squared kilometres designated an 'area of outstanding beauty', the island is proof that good things come in small packages. So what could be better than a holiday cottage break there?
- And with an area so beautiful, we're sure we can use our 30 years of experience to find your perfect holiday cottage, with stunning views and a range of incredible activities. So let's get going!

- Fans of the quiet life may be tempted with a holiday cottage in the more rural, far-west of the Isle of Wight. Beyond the sandy cliffs of Alum Bay, the iconic Needles rise out of the sea. A common fixture of the island's tourist shops, the Needles are also the site of a decommissioned artillery battery and a nearby rocket testing site, which may be less pleasing to the eye, but are equally popular with visitors.
- If you're after a bit more life, then a holiday cottage near Bembridge, on the far-east of the Isle of Wight may be for you. With a population approaching 4000, Bembridge residents claim to live in the biggest village in England. But regardless of its size, visitors will be met with a large range of small shops and a busy little harbour. And for those who'd rather take it a bit easier, there are shallow beaches to relax on, and a great selection of bars and restaurants to dine in.
- History buffs may prefer to investigate the former Roman occupation of the island. Brading Roman Villa offers a unique insight into the lives (and rather lavish holiday cottages!) of the Isle of Wight's former occupiers, with mosaics, coins, potteries and tools on display. But if you prefer your history a bit wilder, Dinosaur Isle - a custom built museum and visitors' centre - offers a large collection of fossilised remains discovered on the island.
