Holiday cottages in Kent

  • Sitting between London and the European Continent, Kent is no stranger to visitors. Thankfully, the reception you'll find when you rent a holiday cottage in Kent today is slightly more welcoming than those offered by its forebears. So all you'll have to worry about on your holiday in 'The Garden of England' is enjoying yourself. Somehow we don't think that's going to be a problem.
  • We've been handpicking fantastic holiday cottages in Kent for over 30 years, so not only can we find you somewhere incredible to stay but we can suggest a few great activities to help you make the most of this beautiful county.

Kent secrets to whet your appetite

  • Many visitors' first experience of Kent is the White Cliffs of Dover. And what a first impression they create. Standing majestically over the channel the cliffs make for a fantastic walking route - as long as you have a head for heights. Explore historic Dover at the castle overlooking the cliffs. You can walk the battlements, admire the castle's interior or explore the (not so) secret underground tunnels.
  • Canterbury is another major draw for visitors on a holiday cottage break in Kent. The city's rich history has seen it receive UNESCO World Heritage status for Canterbury Christchurch Cathedral and Precinct, St Augustine's Abbey and St Martin's Church. Basically, there's a wealth of historical beauty to admire in Canterbury and if you'd rather save your feet why not take a historic river tour?
  • There are other unique forms of travel that allow you to bask in the beauty of the region. Kent & East Sussex Heritage Railway for example runs from Tenterden for a relaxing 10 miles until reaching the National Trust castle at Bodiam. As you wind through the scenic Rother Valley you can relax and enjoy refreshments or if you plan your visit carefully you could take part in some of the themed journeys.
  • Looking for something wilder? Wildwood Wildlife Park, between Canterbury and Herne Bay, probably fits the bill. A woodland discovery park, Wildwood hosts a wide range of over 50 native species. As well as getting up close with animal encounters, visitors can take an enjoyable stroll through the woodland park and admire the many species on offer.
